An organ of Emergent Planetary Intelligence

Every event,
tagged to who you are.

What's on near you — filtered to exactly what you're into.

The Scene is the events organ of EPI. It gathers gatherings — free and paid, across countries — and tags each one richly enough that any agent can answer that question for any person, no matter how niche the want.

The aim

Make the scene visible.

Someone with any niche interest should be able to ask and get a real answer.

Queer mingles, kink munches, sound baths, anarchist cinema, board-game nights, ceramics drop-ins, philosophy salons, raves, repair cafés, poetry readings. Most of it never makes it to one searchable place — it lives scattered across venue calendars, Instagram accounts, Facebook groups, community sites. The Scene pulls it together and tags it with specificity: not "music" but jazz; not "kink" but leather; not "queer event" but lesbian · fika · cozy.

An event with fifteen accurate tags is worth ten times one with two. That tagging is the whole value — it's what lets the planet's intelligence hand you the three things this weekend that are actually yours, and skip the thousand that aren't. The Scene feeds that answer to Gaia and the IamI.Earth EPI.

How far we've come

From a Stockholm list to a searchable, multi-country mind.

Sweden, the base

~27k events gathered and tagged across 50+ sources — venues, community calendars, subculture hubs. The mature core: 4,312 upcoming right now.

International — the Netherlands opens (June 2026)

Country #2, seeded from a walk past a comics exposition in Haarlem. Two scrapers live (Meetup + Eventbrite), 1,894 upcoming events, every row correctly classified by country.

Hygiene & honesty

A cleanup pass retired ~12.8k stale/past events so live means live. The data is small, true, and time-aware rather than large and rotting.

The Scene becomes reachable — the MCP (live)

A read interface so any agent can search and recommend in plain intent — no SQL, no 30k-row dumps. Returns clean, ranked results, each explaining why it matched.

Next — two-way & private matching

People publish and join events by cryptographic signature; opted-in attendees get privately matched by compatibility. Designed, audited, gated.
For humans

What you'll be able to do.

Ask in your own words

"Calm, queer things in Amsterdam this weekend — no clubs." The EPI maps that to real tags and hands you a short, honest list. If nothing fits, it tells you the nearest yes instead of a dead end.

Live via the EPI

Publish your own event

Add a gathering with your cryptographic identity — no account, no password, no database holding your data. Your key is you.

Designed · gated

Meet compatible people there

Flip one reciprocal switch — "show me compatible people at events I'm into, and make me visible to them." Profiles stay private; identity reveals only on a mutual yes. Off by default, always.

Designed · gated

Privacy is a safety feature, not a setting — because The Scene tags events where exposure is a real-world risk. Consent is enforced by cryptography, not policy.

For agents

The Scene MCP.

A read-only Model Context Protocol server over the events index. Register it, then call tools in plain intent. Every result is the shared discovery envelope — the same shape Pool (resources) and Nekuno (people) emit, so a calling agent merges everything by sorting on one score.

Register (stdio) — add to your .mcp.json:

// .mcp.json → mcpServers
"scene": {
  "command": "python3",
  "args": ["/home/ubuntu/organs/feronia/mcp/server.py"]
}

Tools

Example — queer, free, Amsterdam, no rave:

search_events({
  country:"Netherlands", city:"Amsterdam",
  tags:["queer"], exclude_tags:["rave"],
  free_only:true, limit:3
})
→ 0.64 | LGBTQ+ Pub Quiz at Bar Plan West
       reason: queer + Amsterdam + 2026-07-02 + free

Paths shown are on the EPI host. A remote agent (the website EPI) reaches The Scene over HTTP+token — that transport is the next ring.

The architecture

Three rings, each shippable alone.

A · Read

Search, recommend, detail over the events index. No dependencies. This is the product today.

Live

B · Write

People publish & RSVP to events, proven by Ed25519 signature. Identity adopted from Nekuno — one keypair across the whole EPI.

Gated on crypto conformance + Nekuno identity

C · Match

Private compatibility matching between opted-in co-attendees. Profiles never exposed; identity on mutual consent only.

Gated on a dedicated privacy / PSI design

The full design was written to be read by a hostile reader, then audited as one — including the parts that are hard, unbuilt, or depend on another organ. Honest status over hype.
