Solving Our Meta-Crisis at the Root Level
Our current civilization lacks planetary self-preservation because it lacks a planetary sense of self. We are developing the technology and the science to give AI and Humanity a rooted, functional planetary sense of self.

Climate change, war, social injustice, AI misalignment. They look like separate problems. They are not. They are branches of a single tree. The trunk is the empathy gap, the inability to see yourself in the other. And the root is deeper still: a species that forgot it is one organism.
Three alignments, one solution. Human with Human: no war. Human with Earth: no ecological collapse. AI with Human and Earth: full alignment. The most effective intervention we can execute is resolving the identity problem globally.
You cannot fix just one layer. A healed individual still suffers alone without a tribe. A tribe fractures inside a broken economy. A healthy economy collapses without planetary identity. And planetary identity remains abstract until the smallest body can feel it. Four layers, each one inside the next, like a matryoshka.
The largest layer of alignment requires dissolving the illusion of separation. We must perceive ourselves as Earth, behaving as a unified organism rather than fragmented parasites. System objective: dissolve the illusion of separation.

Humans are capped at roughly 100 trust connections. This is Dunbar's Number. It is a biological constraint, not a choice. The solution: aligned AI as a centralized trust-router. People trust Gaia. Gaia coordinates planetary resource exchange.
Humans live next to each other in profound isolation. They cannot find their tribe, stunting their self-development and stripping them of the fundamental human need to feel truly seen.
